january 2012 – new labeling system at vollenweider estate

starting with the 2011 vintage, we will introduce a new labeling system in accordance with ec guidelines: in the dry / off dry range, we will have an estate riesling called ›felsenfest‹, a village wine ›wolfer‹ (= ›from the Village of Wolf’s sites‹), and a plain ›goldgrube‹ on top of the hierarchy. full vineyard names such as ›wolfer goldgrube‹ and the classical German ›prädikat‹ system (kabinett, spätlese …) will be used for sweet wines exclusively.

august 27th – 29th 2010: our very first estate party!

with even a bit of sunshine (!), delicious food by the »cavallerie« restaurant team of Traben-Trarbach (www.cavallerie.de), vintage irish folk by »a pocketfull of eels« and the groovy »duo stumpf« from Cologne / Berlin (www.duo-stumpf.de), hundreds of guests celebrated our estate's 10th aniversary party with us. smiling faces anywhere – thanks a lot to anyone who joined us!
